Due to popular demand, the Throwdown is back yall, part 2!!! This Sunday we will be playing the wonderful game of TABOO, alumi style, UT vs the rest of the country. Wear your school gear. The losing team will be preparing another communion feast that we will be sharing together. The date of the meal will is TBD.
Following TABOO, join us as we delve into, breakdown, and discuss the city of Dallas, its demographics, spirituality, etc. This is an important step for our church in determining how we can be relevant to the community around us and share this Grace stuff Stanley always talks about.

Mosaic has a new location to tutor the kids of Vickery Heights.
Meet Monday, 630pm by the Sannoh apartment and we'll all go to
Vickery Baptist Church together. Come to play with and learn about these
amazingly resilient kids as we work as big brothers and sisters. A big thanks

2. The Extra EXTRA Tasty on September 9th
September 9th will double as both Extra Tasty (worship gathering) followed by the Cookdown.
Details on the cookdown for those who may be scratching your heads, goes something like this. Last week we had a battle of men vs. women in the form of Pictionary. It was quite the competition as the game was tied after regulation, and subsequently followed by 2 grueling sudden death lightening rounds. In the end, the men gracefully allow the women to sneak out the victory but one point. As a consequence to the men for "losing" (probably will turn out to be a consequence for the women as well), they will be preparing a communion meal that we will all share together after the Extra Tasty worship.
More details will be sent out soon explaining how all of this will work for the men, where and when to meet that Sunday, and the extent of the menu. The "victorious" women will also have something fantastic planned during that time, which is to be determined. So keep an eye out for this.

We believe hope lies in people fumbling and struggling together through our own brokenness and flaws towards Jesus. Through that, we pursue our spiritual formation through active learning and creating experiences.
